Review practice

The game review of Minecraft that we watched was:

  • Entertaining - kept me interested
  • Described features in interesting ways - didn't just list pros and cons
  • Made it relatable - talked about his experiences, not just what he liked and disliked

1. Animal Crossing: Wild World

  • Overall impression: good, but not new
  • Compares it to the previous version of the game, from the Gameboy
  • Criticism: Multiplayer mode has restrictions
  • Final score: (rating from IGN) 8.8/10

2. The Sims 4

  • Overall impression: fixes problems from Sims 3, but is less extensive in terms of what you can do
  • Lots of comparisons to the Sims 3, as that is where it's supposed to be improving from
  • Criticisms: no pools, very small world
  • Final score: 7.5

3. Disney Infinity

  • Overall impression: very exciting and creative, lots to explore
  • Comparisons to games like Minecraft and LittleBigPlanet
  • Criticisms: using the build tool is very tricky
  • Final score: 8.7/10
